Sri Lanka cricketer Lahiru Kumara has sustained a left hamstring injury during the morning session of the third day of the first test against Bangladesh underway in Kandy.
Senior Sports journalist Rex Clementine said right-arm fast bowler Lahiru Kumara’s injury is a further blow for the Sri Lankan team.
“So further blow for Sri Lanka as Lahiru Kumara has hurt his left hamstring. Most likely he will not take further part in the game,” he Tweeted.
Lahiru Kumara has bowled 28 overs in the first innings picking up 1/88.
Bangladesh declared its first inning on 541-7 with 30 minutes to go into the morning session.
Meanwhile, batting in their first innings Sri Lanka was 11/0 at lunch.
