A total of 40 more COVID-19 deaths were reported out of which 09 individuals have succumbed to the virus in residences, the Government Information Department said.
The statement issued by the Department said that 23 males and 17 females have passed away due to the virus infection.
Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country climbed to 1,696.
