Three children were among the seven people who were reported to have died in the accident that took place in Nanuoya, the Police stated.
The accident took place in Nanuoya, Nuwara Eliya following a collision between a bus, a three-wheeler and a van last evening.
Six people travelling in the van died along with the three-wheeler driver.
The bus had been carrying students from Thurstan College in Colombo who had been on an educational tour.
The Police stated that two girls aged 08 and 12 years and a 13-year-old boy were among the passengers of the van who died in the accident.
Three individuals between the ages of 26 and 27, and a 43-year-old woman also died in the accident.
The victims from the van are from Hatton.
