SL mission in Rome refutes driving licence report

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Rome has refuted recent reports on the validity of Sri Lankan driving licences in Italy.

Issuing a special notice, the Embassy stated that the reports on mass media and social media regarding the recognition of Sri Lankan valid driving licences in the Italian territory are inconsistent.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Rome further stated that the renewal of the Bilateral Agreement for Mutual Recognition of Driving Licences between Sri Lanka and Italy is still under process.

The Sri Lankan Community in Italy will be duly notified once the agreement is finalized, the Embassy added.
