Min. Lanza asks Dayasiri to quit if he does not like his ministry

State Minister for Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure Nimal Lanza, who is perceived be close confidant of SLPP National Organizer Basil Rajapaksa said Minister Dayasiri Jayaekara should resign from his post if it was unsuitable for him, making way for another from his party to take over.

Lanza made this remark in the wake of Jayasekara grumbling about the state ministry assigned to him. Jayasekara said he got one of the ‘funny ministries’ created.

Lanza said, “After Basil Rajapaksa arrives, he will create a programme that will build the economy of this country and provide relief to the people of this country. We have no problem with that. He is someone who can work and has proven himself.  He was a man who started and looked after the poor people. He was the one who started projects such as Uthuru Wasanthaya, Nagenahira Navodaya and Divi Neguma and worked for the benefit of the poor.  When he arrives the economy of this country will be in a good condition.  There is no question about that.  Everyone wants his arrival,” Lanza said.
